For PVC coated rockfall netting, one wire diameter number is not enough. PVC coated products usually need to separate:

• Inner steel wire diameter
• Finished outside diameter after PVC coating
• PVC color
• Whether the base wire is hot dipped galvanized or Galfan
• Whether the PVC layer has a project requirement

If one supplier quotes the inner wire diameter and another quotes the finished coated outside diameter, the numbers may look close but the actual products are different. PVC coated specifications should therefore be written clearly.
